Well, well...got my beautiful Black Pearl registered and she just barely passed the sound-test (thanks to the kind tester) but when I wanted to start her and ride home she was DEAD ! Lights worked, turning indicators worked, but the starter was completely dead.
Not even the smallest clic!. I threatened to start calling her "Piglet" if she would not carry me home, and after the second bump-start-try: WROOOOM !! Roar and thunder ! Wonderful. The only drawback was that I knew I was almost out of petrol... but I managed to choose a station with a small hill nearby, just in case, you know..Filled her up and - DEAD again!! Bumpstart and ok, off we went. Came home, switched the engine off, and tried to restart. Dead.
Now I think that I remember somebody has said that the startbutton is a weak spot on the Savage. Is that so ?
Any other suggestions what to check first...remember this is my first Savage. I have a Clymer. At work, of course. Thanks in advance !
